Focus on the Sentiment at Lexi's Creations

 

The new challenge at Lexi's Creations is "Focus on the Sentiment".   And I am the Guest Designer for this challenge.  So, I made this card using a sentiment from Fairy Dust Crafts Store.  This sentiment is called Precious Friend.  Here is a close up of it.

My base cardstock is SU Very Vanilla and the mats are SU Early Expresso.  My DP is from a 6x6 paper pad by Prima called Nature Garden Collection.  This is pretty much a clean and simple card for me.  I used MFT Die-namics Fishtail Flags Layers Stax.  Then my sentiment and mat are cut out with SB Circle die cut.  Next I used Sizzix Flourish Floral With Leaves which I cut out with scraps.  The flowers are also cut out with scraps and I used MFT Die-namics Prima Donna Petals.  And that is it.  Gee, no alcohol markers.  That doesn't happen too often.

Precious Birthday!

Spring Blossoms

 

I hope everyone had a good weekend.  I thought mine was going to be quite and I would get some crafting done, but we made a quick trip to Abilene and back.  So, nothing got made but, I did make a card today.   I even used a real stamp and ink instead of a digi image.  This is a stamp I have had for a long time and haven't used in a long time.  It is by Sarah Kay.  She has some really adorable stamps.  This is Spring Blossoms.

Anything Goes at Simply Create Too

 

We are mid-way through the challenge at Simply Create Too.  The theme is Anything Goes.  For my first DT card I decided to make a shaped card.  Since I have a granddaughter due in a few weeks, I decided to go with a onesie card.  I thought I could use it with a gift for her. 

 

The cardstock is from my stash of cardstock and I don't know who it is by.  I used a scallop punch from Stamping Up to add the scallops around the neck and sleeves.  The white cardstock is from my scraps.  The center is cut out with Spellbinders Circle and Scallop Circle.  The zebra is a stamp from Bugaboo Stamps.  I cut it out with my Cameo and colored it with Copics N4 and N5.  I used glittered tulle for the tu-tu.  The sentiment I typed on my computer and cut it out with a circle punch.  The Tu-Tu Cute with the zoo animals is the nursery theme for the nursery.  All the pearls are from my stash.  Here is a close up of the Tu-Tu Cute Zebra.

New Design Team

I have been keeping a secret, but now I can tell you all about my exciting news.  I have been selected for the Simply Create Too Design Team.  This is a great challenge blog that has bi-weekly challenges.  They have increased the design team to make two teams.  Be watching on Friday for my first DT card as it is the Blue team's turn to create projects for the challenge.

Happy Birthday with Faith Flowers

 

I'm back today with another cute image from Whimsy and Stars Studio by Mabelle R.O.  She has the cutest stamps.  This stamp is called Faith Flowers and you can find her in Mabelle's shop here.  I thought she would be perfect with her pot of flowers for a birthday card.



I used a dark pink rose and paired it with a lighter pink crochet flower.  I thought it turned out well.  Here is a close up.
