Christmas Criss-Cross Card

Well, I'm doing Christmas today.  And I'm spreading my wings.  This is my first criss-cross card.  And it really wasn't hard.  This little cutey image is by Elizabeth Bell.  This is an older stamp called Winter Emma.  Elizabeth Bell's World is having a challenge to make a Christmas card without using a Christmas image.  So this is my take on it.  I used a few things that I haven't used before. One is the Snow Writer.  I used it at the bottom, but it just seems to glob together and I either need a lot more practice or my snow writer is old.  I got it last year, so it is probably not good.  I also used Liquid Pearls for the falling snow.  This was a first time to play with those.

Recipe:
Cardstock - CS is Bazzill and DP is from my stash of last years Christmas paper
Stamps - Elizabeth Bell's Winter Emma and SU Tags Til Christmas stamped in SU Real Red
Die Cuts - Spellbinder Oval and Beaded Oval
Punch - SU Large Tag and Curly Label
Ribbon - SU Seam Binding
Sky - Pebbles Pearlescent Chalk
Other - Deco Art Snow Writer, Ranger Liquid Pearls, and Stickles Icicle

Sweater/Muffler - R37, R59
Pants - B91, B93, B95
Boots - E31, E33, E37

Birthday Wishes

TGIF!  The weekend is here.  It has been a little rainy here today and we have needed it.  And thank goodness the temps have cooled down a little.  Today I have a multi-fold card.  This is a gate fold card.  I used a fun stamp from Tiddly Inks called Anne Belle and this is Be My Sunshine.  My cardstock is Kraft paper and Authentique Essentials Collection.  I used the Spellbinder Oval and Scallop Oval die cuts to cut her out with.  I also used MFT's Hexagon die cuts for use on the front panels.  I closed the card with baker's twine from The Twinery and eyelets from my stash.

I decorated the inside of the card with paper from Authentique.  I also used the SU Scallop Edge Corner punch.  The sentiment and cupcake stamp is Spellbinders Cupcake clear stamps and Matching Shapeabilities die cuts.  So I cut out the cupcakes and popped them up.

My Sentiment Exactly

"My Sentiment Exactly" is the new challenge going on at Paper Crafting Journey.   All you need to do is make sure you have a sentiment on the front of your project.  For my DT card I chose a sentiment by TLC Creations.  I used Spellbinders Circle die cut to cut it out with and mounted it on the Scallop Circle die cut.  My cardstock is Bazzill and the designer papers are from Recollections Elegance collection at Michael's.  I also used the MFT Fishtail Stax die cut.  My flower was a hair clip made with ribbon and tulle that I picked up at Hobby Lobby several months back.  I pulled the clip off  the back and stuck a pearl stick pin in it.  The hot pink flower really pops with the black and white papers.

I'm entering this card in these challenges:

I hope everyone is having a great afternoon.  Feels like Monday though doesn't it?  I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday.  I was just too tired yesterday.  Went and played way too much on Sunday.  And it was so hot again that it takes a lot out of a person.  But, I got it together today and made another fairy card.

This is Cadrian by Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  She is one of their newer stamps and this is the first time that I used her.  They are having a challenge calling for Pink, pink, pink.  So, I did it up all in pinks.  I used a die cut from Sizzix for the card. I really liked it.
