Spring Beauty

It is Friday and time for a new challenge at Stamping With the Dragon.  The challenge this week is Anything but a Card.  I decided to make a tag using Spring Beauty from Stamping Dragon Designs

Most of the tag is colored with distress inks.  I used a few Copics on her face and hair.  First I sponged distress ink on the tag.  Then I colored my image with copic markers.  Next I sponged distress inks around my image.  It came out darker then my tag, but I used different paper for my image then what the tag is made of.  I cut it out with Spellbinders Nestabilities Label Nine.  I layered it on the same, but I sponged Antique Linen distress ink on it.

The flower is cut out with MFT Layered Rose on paper that I used Antique Linen and Victorian Velvet distress ink to color it with.  The leaves are made with a punch from The Punch Bunch and was colored with Iced Spruce distress ink.  Here is a closeup of the flower.

The little butterflies are from the SU stamp set Papillon Potpourri and they are punched out with the coordinating punch.  I also used the distress inks to color them and then set pearls from my stash in the center.  Here is a closeup of the image.

I also used a swirl of pearls from my stash and lace from my stash.  The lace I colored with Victorian Velvet and Milled Lavender distress ink.

Distress Ink - Antique Linen, Iced Spruce, Milled Lavender, Victorian Velvet

Copic Markers - E00, E01, E11, G12, V01, V05, Y23, Y26

I plan to enter this project in these challenges:

It's a Pink Christmas!

It's Friday and that means it is time for another challenge at Stamping with the Dragon.  This week the theme is One Colour Colouring - Pink Christmas.  The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to Di's Digi Designs.  I used Christmas Elf from the Stamping Dragon Designs store.  I thought she looked so cute all colored up in pink, even her hair.  I also used Stickles Stardust on her hat and dress to give it some shine.

All the papers are Bazzill in various shades of pink.  The sentiment is from Stamping Up Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I used these SU punches, Word Window and Modern Label with my sentiment.  Sizzix die cuts were used  for the trees and Spellbinder Oval and Scallop Oval used with my image.  I used a Sizzix embossing folder on the background piece and on the trees.  The folder looks like falling snow.  Then I used Liquid Pearls on the snow dots on the trees and also I made some drops around the image.  The ribbon/lace is from Michael's.  And the little white flowers are from my stash.

The Theme is Halloween at Stamping Dragon Designs

Halloween will be here soon and that is our theme this week at Stamping Dragon Designs Challenge.  Just create a Halloween project and enter the challenge and you could be a winner.   The sponser this week is Di's Digi Designs and the prize is a $10 gift voucher to her store.

I had so much fun creating this card.  I thought this would be a good card for my grandson.  I used Sam the Vamp Framed from the Stamping Dragon Designs store.  I colored him up with Copics and I used Pebbles Pearlescent Chalks on the background.  Then I used a corner rounder punch on the corners.  The cardstock is Authentique, The Enchanted Collection.  My sentiment is from TLC Creations and it is cut out with Spellbinders Deckled Rectangle. Chalks were used for the background.  I then used Sheer Shimmer Spritz on the frame and image.  It doesn't really show up too well in the photo.  The only embellishments I used were two orange gems from Studio G, a pumpkin sticker with bobble eyes from K & Company, and  a bat sticker with bobble eyes from Michael's Recollection.
