Summer Girl

As you can see by the blog title, I got summer on my mind.  It is a beautiful warm day today and it makes me think of the coming summer months.  So, I decided to use Mo Manning's image Summer Girl.  Love those sunglasses.  Here is a close-up of Summer Girl.

 

I used glossy accents on her glasses and also Wink of Stella in clear to add some sparkle and shine.  But it is not noticeable in the picture.  I also used it on the ice cream bar.  My cardstock base and mats are SU Rose Red and my designer paper is from MME Indie Chic 6x6 paper pad.  My sentiment is from Digital Delights Keeping in Touch Sentiment set.  I used SU Circle punches to cut out my sentiment and mat.  My doily is English Tea Party Doily by Cheery Lynn Designs.  I embossed the front panel with a large dot embossing folder from Cuttlebug.  And my flower is MFT Die-namics Perfect Petals die cut.  The burlap, twine and button is from my stash.

Splish Splash

Welcome to Delightful Thursday at Digital Delights.  Today I am using Splish Splash Susie and a sentiment from the Feel Better Sentiment set.  I think the sentiment is just perfect for this cute image. 

I used SU Pink Pirouette for the card base and flower.  The DP is from my stash.  It is grey on one side and has a pink and grey design on the other.  I embossed the grey piece with SU embossing folder Cloudy Day and then lightly sanded the embossed area.  I then added a strip of the design side that I cut out with decorative edge scissors.  I used SB Square and Lacy Square to center my image on.  I colored my image in pinks and greys with Copic Sketch Markers.  Her umbrella is paper pieced with some of the designer paper and I used grey pearls for the flower centers.  My big flower is cut out with MFT Die-namics Plentiful Petals die cut.  I again used the grey pearls from Queen & Co. for the flower center.

The Copic markers that I used are C3, C5, E000, E00, E01, RV10, RV11, YR20, YR21, YR23.  I also used a Silver Spica pen on the umbrella handle.
